Hot Dipped Z275 Zinc Coated Galvanized Steel Coil

Galvanized steel coil is a steel coil that is coated with a layer of zinc to prevent corrosion. The production process of galvanized steel coils usually includes the following steps.

Cleaning and pickling. The steel coil is first cleaned and pickled to remove any dirt, rust or other contaminants from the surface.

Cold rolling. The cleaned and pickled steel coil is then passed through a series of rolls to reduce its thickness and produce a flat, uniform surface.

Annealing. The steel coil is then annealed to remove any stresses and improve its ductility.

Galvanized. After annealing, the steel coil is coated with a layer of molten zinc in a process called hot dip galvanizing. The steel coil is passed through a molten zinc bath, which coats the surface of the steel with a layer of zinc. The zinc reacts with the steel to form a protective layer of zinc-iron alloy, which provides good corrosion resistance.

Cooling. The galvanized steel coil is then cooled to allow the zinc layer to solidify.

Final processing. The final step in the production process is to cut the coils into the required lengths and widths and then package them for shipping.
